Hello All! The LCP Foundation is teaming up with the local Philadelphia Philosophy Meet-up Group to co-host a mini-conference celebrating Philly’s philosophy scene at the Good Karma Café on Pine Street, August 24th from 6 pm to 9pm! It will run like a traditional conference with paper presentations and discussion. But we are also opening up the platform to include alternative philosophical approaches, such as poetry, paintings, music, etc. Come join the fun!

First Open Board Meeting
What up, errrrrrrbody?! This past Saturday, June 29th, The Lawn Chair Philosophy Foundation held its first open board meeting! We met with our friends from the Philadelphia Philosophy Meet-Up Group. We’ve joined forces to plan for an upcoming conference, and we hope to work closely together so that this non profit properly represents the vibrant Philly philosophy scene. We hold our board meetings in a knights of the round table fashion – everyone has a say, no matter their official status in the group, and that say is important! Although, I will say . . . we’re a pretty oddball bunch. We’re more goofy than knightly . . . We had a great time while working hard, and we can’t wait to share with you the fruits of our labor! More to come!

New Fundraising Opportunity!
Hey y’all! So GoFundMe bought out YouCare and our original fundraising campaign was dissolved. But we’ve started another one! Check out our new campaign and please do donate! Instead of asking for the whole kit and caboodle up front, all we are asking for is enough to fund our 501c3 fees, some general maintenance fees, and our first library package!
Fact or Fiction: Fractal Diction
We’ve scheduled another meet-up! We’ll be taking a closer look at what we see everyday: the patterns of our interrelations between ourselves and our natural environment. What do our patterns of existence reveal about the depths of meaning constituting human experience? What do they cover over? We’ll be revolving around our good friend Nietzsche, again (because he’s just so darn fun!) but the conversation will flow as it may, so don’t be turned off if Nietzsche seems unapproachable! Hope to see y’all there!
Next Meet-Up THIS SATURDAY!!!
Join us for another meet-up at the Barnes and Nobel in Rittenhouse Square! This one’s shaping up to be pretty exciting – hope you can join!!
