The Daily Nous has featured us in the Heap of Links section! We greatly appreciate their appreciation of what we’re trying to accomplish. Please donate today so we can give ’em more to talk about! We’re really hoping to be able to donate a library package this summer, so be sure to check out our fundraising page!

First Open Board Meeting
What up, errrrrrrbody?! This past Saturday, June 29th, The Lawn Chair Philosophy Foundation held its first open board meeting! We met with our friends from the Philadelphia Philosophy Meet-Up Group. We’ve joined forces to plan for an upcoming conference, and we hope to work closely together so that this non profit properly represents the vibrant Philly philosophy scene. We hold our board meetings in a knights of the round table fashion – everyone has a say, no matter their official status in the group, and that say is important! Although, I will say . . . we’re a pretty oddball bunch. We’re more goofy than knightly . . . We had a great time while working hard, and we can’t wait to share with you the fruits of our labor! More to come!

Official Tax Exemption Status!
Howdy y’all! Wonderful news to share: the IRS has recognized our tax exemption status! Any donation you make to the LCP Foundation may now be deducted from your taxes! Please check out our current GoFundMe page. We’re behind on our office rent. Once we secure that money, we can move onto funding actual libraries and acquiring talent to help create courses to accompany our library packages!

New Meet-Up!
Yo! We’ve scheduled another meet-up at the Barnes and Noble in Rittenhouse Square! We’re falling back into feminist mode with this one, as we’re discussing Sartre’s rather presumptuous tone in his treatment of “bad faith.” Spread the word! Join the fun!
Updates!
As part of our ongoing maturation, we have cleaned up the service and axiom pages. We’re gettin’ lean and losing that baby fat; gaining muscle and working out our plan. We’re more precise, but just as nice – stay tuned for more to come!
